1. [v.] to press between two opposing forces so as to break or injure; squeeze together

2. [v.] To crush a protest or movement, or a group of opponents, means to defeat it completely, usually by force.
i.e. The military operation was the first step in a plan to crush the uprising.
i.e. The president called upon the army to help crush the rebellion.
3. [n.] A crush is a crowd of people close together, in which it is difficult to move.
i.e. His thirteen-year-old son somehow got separated in the crush.
i.e. I had to struggle through the crush to get to the door.
4. [n.] a strong but temporary feeling of liking someone (informal).
i.e. If you have a crush on someone, you are in love with them but do not have a relationship with them.
i.e. She has a crush on one of her teachers at school.
