Before today’s learning, let’s check the answers to the last episode.

Today we will learn the new root “dox“. It means “opinion” and is used in many words. Let’s see the word “orthodox” together.

In the word “orthodox“, “ortho” means “right“, “dox” means “opinion“. By combining them together we can deduce that “orthodox” means “of right opinion“.

In Cambridge Dictionary, “orthodox” means “(of beliefs, ideas, or activities) considered traditional, normal, and acceptable by most people“, which is highly similar to what we’ve deduced.
