Hey guys! Welcome back to [Best Pick]!
Every movie star starts somewhere. Before they reached movie stardom, many of them actually spent some time in smaller roles on the small screen. In today’s [Best Pick], we put together a collection of actors who had small roles in the early days of their career.
1. Leonard DiCaprio
Leonard is more well-known for his “Titanic” in his 20s, but before that, he also took up smaller roles as a child, for example, he played a homeless boy taken in by the Seaver family in “Growing Pains”. It was indeed a successful drama though, Leonard DiCaprio was not the star of the show.
2. Ryan Gosling
Many years before “La La Land,” or even “The Notebook,” Gosling was a child actor in his native Canada. He began his career on the Disney Channel’s “The Mickey Mouse Club” (1993–1995), and went on to appear in other family entertainment programs, including “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” (1995) and “Goosebumps” (1996).
3. Emma Stone
Speaking of “La La Land,” Stone was also in that movie, even winning an Oscar for it. Before she was that famous, Stone popped up in an episode of “Medium” and an episode of “Malcolm in the Middle.”
4. Tom Hardy
Speaking of actors who have mixed critical acclaim with comic book movies, there’s Hardy. You may remember him better from the war movie “Dunkirk,” even if his face is under a mask for most of it. It was far from his first war project, though, as he popped up as a private in “Band of Brothers” as well.
