[Best Pick] Take Me Out: Get A Date In 10 Minutes!

Hey guys! It’s time for [Best Pick]!

Compared with TV series and movies, reality shows often reveal a person’s real inner self, because they need to deal with many unexpected situations, which may not allow them to fake their reactions.

Today I am gonna introduce a dating-based reality show–Take Me Out💗.

Take Me Out is a short-lived primetime dating game show based on the original short-lived Australian dating show Taken Out. Now, many countries create their own versions of this show, including the UK, the USA, Denmark, China, and etc. A group of single girls gather each weekend to see which lucky lad would come down the lift of love. If the guys impressed the girls, they would keep their lights on. It not, they would turn them off.

The program is filmed in front of a studio audience and is comprised of four rounds. It begins with a group of 30 beautiful ladies and every week, the women are introduced to several bachelors one by one. Each woman stands at a lighted podium with a switch that controls her fate for a date. If she thinks it’s a match, she keeps her light on; if her attraction has been short-circuited, it’s lights out and she’ll wait for the next potential Mr. Right. As the hopeful mate reveals more and more about himself, the women continue to turn their lights out as they lose interest, leaving only the flirty females still fascinated by him.

At this point, the gentleman takes control of the game and eliminates the ladies by turning out the lights of those women he’s just not into. During the last round, the bachelor will pose one final question to the two remaining women and will choose a winner to join him on a romantic fantasy date. Meanwhile, the remaining 29, plus one new woman, return during the next game for another chance at finding the guy who will “light up their lives.” The whole process takes only about 10 minutes and if, the guy is lucky enough,  he may get a new girlfriend in just 10 minutes!

Catchphrases from the presenter Paddy McGuinness on Take Me Out:

No likey, no lighty.

Let the hanky see the panky.

Let the hokey see the cokey.

Let the boogie see the woogie.

That’s all for today’s [Best Pick]!
