Hey guys! Time for [Best Pick]!
Today we are going to talk about a 2014 epic fantasy film – The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies.
“The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies” is the third and final installment in Peter Jackson’s three-part film adaptation based on the novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien, following An Unexpected Journey(2012) and The Desolation of Smaug (2013), and together they act as a prequel to Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” film trilogy.
The film was released on 17 December 2014 in the United States. It was the final film featuring Christopher Lee that was released in his lifetime and was his final onscreen appearance.
And the film received mixed reviews, and grossed over $956 million worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing film of 2014 (behind Transformers: Age of Extinction). At the 87th Academy Awards, the film received a nomination for Best Sound Editing.
Brief of the Story:
Having reclaimed Erebor and vast treasure from the dragon Smaug, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) sacrifices friendship and honor in seeking the Arkenstone, despite Smaug’s fiery wrath and desperate attempts by the Hobbit Bilbo (Martin Freeman) to make him see reason.
Meanwhile, Sauron sends legions of Orcs in a sneak attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As the fate of Middle Earth hangs in the balance, the races of Men, Elves, and Dwarves must decide whether to unite and prevail — or all die.
Quotes in the film:
Tauriel: “If this is love, I do not want it. Take it away, please. Why does it hurt so much?”
Thranduil: “Because it was real.”
Thorin Oakenshield: “If more people valued home above gold, this world would be a merrier place.”
Legolas: “These bats have been bred for one purpose.”
Tauriel: “For what?”
Legolas: “For war.”
I can’t wait any longer to see this film! Let’s enjoy the wonderful trailer right now!
