[Buzzword] 2019 New Words Added To The Dictionary (PART 2)

Hey guys! Did you have a great weekend? Before we learn some buzzy words, please check the answers to the last episode first:

We have already learn some 2019 new words added to the dictionary before (click here to review). Now let’s continue to learn some new compound terms.

1. on-brand
=appropriate to, typical of, consistent with a particular brand or public image or identity

It’s time to do an overhaul of your Facebook profile to ensure it’s professional and on-brand.

2. garbage time
=the final moments or minutes of a game in which one side has an insurmountable lead, substitutes often enter the game in place of starting players, and scoring is typically easier because of looser defensive play

One touchdown was all the Broncos’ D allowed, and that came in garbage time.

3. go-cup
=a plastic or paper cup used especially for taking a beverage off the premises of a bar, restaurant, etc.

It’s closing time, guys. Want your beer in a go-cup?

  • The words Go Cup itself sound still unfamiliar with the here culture ..
    But Ya.. and not ontitled like the picture you posted. Only regular plastic cup / box for F&B to take away .

  • Yes it belongs to our culture. I have had go-cup many times. In fact I like to use it. And its foods are really finger-licking good. I just love it.
