May we all have a vision now and then

How the brave new world arrives

Than confetti on the floor

I guess many of you already got the correct answers! Here’s the practice for today.

“500 Miles” is a song made popular in the United States and Europe during the 1960s folk revival. The simple repetitive lyrics offer a lament by a traveller who is far from home, out of money and too ashamed to return.

Hope you guys enjoy it and don’t forget to fill in the blanks below.

The audio version is given below:

[lyrics]

If you miss the train I’m on
You will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow
A hundred miles
A hundred miles, a hundred miles
A hundred miles, a hundred miles
You can hear the whistle blow
A hundred miles
Lord I’m one, lord I’m two
Lord I’m three, lord I’m four
Lord I’m five hundred miles
Away from home
Five hundred miles, five hundred miles
Five hundred miles, five hundred miles
Lord I’m five hundred miles
Away from home

Not a ??? (1 word missing) on my back
Not a ??? (1 word missing) to my name
Lord I can’t go back home
This away
This away, this away
This away, this away
Lord I can’t go back home
This away
If you miss the train I’m on
You will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow
A hundred miles
