1. flat out

= very busy.

I’ll be flat out next week, becasue there’s a new shipment arriving.

2. train of thought

= a series of connected thoughts.

Oh! I’ve lost my train of thought! what was I talking about?

3. on track

= If someone or something is on track, they are acting or progressing in a way that is likely to result in success.

We missed the deadline last week, but we have just submitted the report now, so we are getting back on track.

4. (to) bank on

= to bank on sth means to bet that sth will happen in a certain way.

I’m banking on Sarah to get the promotion, so that I can apply for her position.
