A 35-year-old man has married the famous Japanese virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
10 years ago, Akihiko Kondo (近藤顕彦) was bullied by female superiors at work. And that led to him being suspended from work. He kept experiencing long-lasting trauma because of it. He thought that he had trouble getting along with women from this world and started not to trust them.
Later, he discovered about the virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
He said that her songs healed him during this 10-year hard time.
So he decided to get married to Miku, making her his lifelong companion.
He invited 39 people to the wedding, which included his relatives and friends, and a Japanese parliament member.
The parliament member acted as the marriage witness at the ceremony.
Kondo said it took him a lot of courage to do this as many people would judge him for it. But at least he’s happy now.
