1. be pushing for time
Today we are going to learn “be pushing for time”. It means that there is no much time left.
eg:
(1). We’ll be pushing for time if we don’t get this done first.
(2). When you are working in groups, finish work on time or you’ll be pushing for time.

2. hold off
Another phrase is “hold off”. If you hold off doing something, you delay doing it or delay making a decision about it.
eg:
(1). I think we should hold off on buying a car until we’re sure that you pass your driver’s test.
(2). If you can hold off any big outlays of cash, do so, for you will be glad you did.
