1. take the easy way out
Today we are going to learn “take the easy way outs”. It means to choose the easy way to do something without much efforts.
eg:
(1). John took the easy way out and quit school.
(2). Don’t try to take the easy way out and refuse to grow up.

2. lose track of
Another phrase is “lose track of”. It means to forget or to lose something.
eg:
(1). I had so much fun, I lost track of time.
(2). In extreme instances, people so thoroughly lose track of things that they develop amnesia.
