Today we are going to learn “in general”. It means mainly, as a whole.
eg:
(1). I agree with you in general, but have a few particular questions.
(2). And in general, what you give you tend to get back from the world around you.

2. hit the nail on the head
Another phrase is “hit the nail on the head”. It means to do exactly the right thing; to do something in the most effective and efficient way.
eg:
(1). You hit the nail on the head with that description.
(2). Bob doesn’t say much, but every now and then he hits the nail right on the head.
