1. get the hang of
Today we are going to learn “get the hang of”. It means to become familiar with something.
eg:
(1). I’m just starting to get the hang of driving.
(2). I know it’s a little tricky getting the hang of the machine, but keep at it, and you’ll finally make it.

2. not easy on
Another phrase is “not easy on”. It means to treat someone hard, make someone have a hard time.
 
eg:
(1). My mom wasn’t easy on me when I was a kid.
(2). Some teachers just are not easy on their students.
