1. have a firm case
Today we are going to learn “have a firm case”. If you have a firm case, you have strong evidence for your argument.
eg:
(1). We have a firm case against your client.
(2). You shouldn’t come to conclusion so fast unless you have a firm case.

2. under the knife
Another phrase is “under the knife”. It means that undergoing surgery in American spoken English.
eg:
(1). I don’t want to go under the knife, doc.
(2). He was awake the entire time he was under the knife.
