1. blasphemy 

Today we are going to learn “blasphemy”. It means that something you say or do that is insulting to people’s religious beliefs.
(1) Denmark’s governing party changed its previous position and threw its support behind abolishing a blasphemy paragraph from the criminal law.
(2) Britain’s humanist, Stephen Fry, is under investigation for blasphemy in the Republic of Ireland.

2. friendly fire

Another word is “friendly fire”.If you come under friendly fire during a battle, you are accidentally shot at by people on your own side, rather than by your enemy.
(1) At least 10 Philippine soldiers have been killed in a friendly fire incident in the city of Marawi.
(2) The Defense Department is looking into the possibility that two service members were killed by friendly fire in eastern Afghanistan.
